The “Comment” option allows the coworkers to comment and write suggestions on the shared file.

The “Read-only” option allows coworkers to view the same document or file without being able to edit, comment or share it.

Once you have established the access rights for all your coworkers, you can click on “Submit”. If you want to attach a notification, enter it in the dedicated field before clicking “Send”.

Have you installed the Google Drive application on your smartphone? Great, because you can also manage your shares from its interface. 

Start by opening your application, then click on “More”, next to the name of the file concerned. Then click on “Share”.

In the new window available in the storage service, enter the email addresses of the people with whom you want to share the file.

Click on the small arrow to set user access rights (Editor, Reader or Commentator) from the Google application. 

To prevent designated users from receiving a sharing notification, click “More” in the top right. The click on “Do not send notification”.

You can add a message in the “Add message” box before clicking “Send”.

The designated users receive the invitation email and they will now be able to access the shared Google documents according to the granted rights.

They can also open them in the mobile application through Google Sheet if they log in on a smartphone.
